SUSAN FOYLES
LAGRANGE -- Susan Cunningham Foyles, 79, of 5892 Hull Road, died Friday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home, with Dr. Mallie Hinnant officiating. Burial will be in Mewborn Cemetery.
Mrs. Foyles was born in Lenoir County to the late Henry Guy Cunningham and Ora Harrison Cunningham. She was wife of the late George Thomas Foyles Jr. and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Travis Foyles, and a sister, Corinne Ora Cunningham.
Surviving are three daughters, Marie Whaley of LaGrange, Melba Speight and husband, Chip, of Snow Hill, and Sue Sutton and husband, Jack, of LaGrange; two sons, George Thomas Foyles III of LaGrange, Dennis Nelson Foyles and wife, Beth, of LaGrange; three sisters, Rutha Bee Cunningham of Kinston, Nettie Jernigan of Snow Hill and Grace Furr of Albemarle; two brothers, Leonard Cunningham of Snow Hill and Percy Cunningham of LaGrange; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The family received friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
