REMUS J OUTLAW

MOUNT OLIVE -- Remus J. Outlaw, 88, of 1067 White Flash Road, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held today at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vernon Brown officiating. Committal and interment will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.

A retired farmer, Mr. Outlaw was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Albertson and served as its building-fund treasurer for many years. He was also a member of the Duplin County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jennings and Julie Outlaw of Mount Olive; a son-in-law, Bill Graham of Nichols, S.C.; three grandchildren, Timothy Graham of Nichols, S.C., and Daniel Outlaw and Laura Outlaw of Mount Olive; a brother, Rommie A. Outlaw of Mount Olive; three sisters, Alene O. Torrans of Wilson and Opal O. Smith and Joyce O. Tyndall of Kinston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donie Holmes Outlaw; their daughter, Gail O. Graham; his parents, Edgar and Nora Kornegay Outlaw; a brother, Eugene R. Outlaw; and a sister, Irene O. Price.

The family will remain at the funeral home to greet friends following the service this evening. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Jennings Outlaw, 543 Scott's Store Road, Mount Olive.
