Luther L.K. "Pookie" Best, 43, of 1123-B Olivia Lane, died Saturday, Dec. 11, at his residence.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw. The Rev. Bob Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Carlton Family Cemetery.
Mr. Best was a native of Duplin County and was the son of Luther Best of Warsaw and Esther Carlton Best of Faison. He attended Duplin County Schools and was formerly employed at Fleming in Warsaw.
In addition to he parents, he is survived by his wife, Sherry Morrisey Best of Warsaw; two daughters, Sherina Best and Monica Best of Warsaw; two sons, Kendric Best of Warsaw and Antron Quinn of Clinton; two brothers, Sharnell Best of Faison and Manuel Best of Maryland; and two grandchildren.
The viewing will be from 5 until 7 today at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw, and the family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m.
The family will assemble at 503 Brighton Avenue in Warsaw at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday to prepare for the funeral.
