EDNA P. PRICE
Edna Pipkin Price, 87, died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was born May 7, 1917, to the late Ernest and Hettie Rose Pipkin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Eugene Price.
Her Christian heritage and profession of faith was with The Society of Friends with membership at Rhodes Friends Meeting. In early years, she was an active member serving as teacher, clerk of monthly meeting, and secretary to the Wayne County Sunday school convention. In later years, she was a resident at Kirkwood Retirement Community and attended New Hope Friends Meeting.
A private interment will be held Saturday at Wayne Memorial Park with a memorial service being held at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Gordon Clarke officiating.
Mrs. Price is survived by her daughter, Dorothy P. Holt and husband, William, of Wilmington; her son, Charles Eugene Price, of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Charles E. Price Jr. of Goldsboro, Carlton Mozingo of California, Christie Chapman of Georgia and Elizabeth Putman of Georgia; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Hope Friends Church, 4451 U.S. 70 Hwy. East, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530; or to Rhodes Friends Meeting, 2157 O'Berry Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
