DEBBIE ROSE
Debbie Shingleton Rose, 91, formerly of 228 LaGrange Road, died Saturday at the Brian Center.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Doug Nalley and the Rev. Willard Hardison officiating. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery.
A native of Greene County, Mrs. Rose was the daughter of the late Sam Robert Shingleton and Mary Shirley Shingleton and was the widow of Jesse Lee Rose. She was a member of Davis Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons and their wives, Buddy and Ruth Rose of Goldsboro and Jerry and Carol Rose of Jamestown; her daughters and their husbands, Jean and Gordon Farrell of Goldsboro and Dorothy and Jim Ellis of Goldsboro; her sisters, Bonnie Yelverton of Goldsboro and Mary Lou Vick of Wilson; her brother, Carson Shingleton of Stantonsburg; grandchildren, David Rose of Greensboro, Gina Ghalyoun and husband Adell of Greensboro, Greg Rose and wife Tracy of Goldsboro, Rhonda Riggan and husband Jeff of Roanoke Rapids, Denise Stevens and husband Johnny of LaGrange, Mitchell Ham and wife Jo Ellen of Goldsboro, Glenn Sauls and wife Lynn of Goldsboro, Timothy Sauls of Kinston, Deborah Brown and husband Brant of Goldsboro, and Roger Rose and wife Dava of Goldsboro; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Julian Rose.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gordon and Jean Farrell, 113 Fairway Drive, Walnut Creek Village.
