RONALD BREWER
MOUNT OLIVE -- Ronald Durant Brewer, 74, of 104 College Circle, died Saturday at his home.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Faison. Dr. Richard Walker will officiate
Mr. Brewer was a native of Sampson County and was the son of the late Hubert D. and Rosa Bell Brewer. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was a retired supervisor with Burlington Industries.
He is survived by his wife, Christine "Chris" Hay Brewer of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Brewer Johnson and Kip Johnson of Greensboro; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Ruth Brewer of Idaho, Steven D. and Rose Brewer of Mount Olive and Kenneth Paul and Robbin Brewer of Dudley; a brother, Daryl Brewer of Raleigh; eight grandchildren, Paul Brewer, Tyler Brewer, Anna Brewer, Jay Brewer, Katie Brewer, Jamie Brewer, Alexander Johnson and Parker Johnson; and a great-granddaughter, Dawn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Velburn Brewer, Glen Brewer, J. O. Brewer and Truman Brewer and two sisters, Evelyn Simpkins and Jewel Poloski.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Tyndall Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
