MARY JARVIS
Mary Jarvis, 91, of Sullivan, formerly of Fairbury, Ill., died Sunday at the Illinois Masonic Home.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 at Illinois Masonic Home Chapel and on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury.
Mrs. Jarvis was born on Dec. 4, 1912, in Wayne County, to the late Roscoe and Daisy Lewis Kornegay. She was the widow of Malcom Jarvis and was a member of Fairbury Methodist Church.
She is survived by several cousins in North Carolina, including Edna Rose Lewis of Goldsboro; a niece, Carol Schahrer of Fairview Glade, Tenn.; and three nephews, Wally Runyon of Phoenix, Ariz., Art Melvin of Albuquerque, N.M., and Keith Runyon of Bourbonnais, Ill.
Mrs. Jarvis and her husband loved animals and frequently nursed them back to health, therefore the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Humane Society, or to the Illinois Masonic Home in Sullivan where she spent her final days.
