JERRY STRICKLAND JR.
Jerry Paschall Strickland Jr. 34, of 1202 Emmaus Church Road, Dudley, died Monday at Duke Hospital in Durham.
He was the son of Ms. Donnie Turner and Jerry Paschall Strickland Sr.
Jerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Osburn "Boot" Turner and paternal grandmother, Pearline Strickland.
He worked for Fun Products where he was a motorcycle salesman. He was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
Biking was Jerry's greatest enjoyment and his family's thoughts will always be of him riding his bike into the great beyond.
The funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Princeton Baptist Church with the Reverend Lee Eames officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Donnie Turner of Goldsboro; his father and stepmother, Jerry Paschall Strickland Sr. and Trudy Strickland of Durham; his maternal grandmother, Doris Godwin Turner of Princeton; his paternal grandfather, Henry Lewis Strickland of Grantham; two aunts, Barbara Lynn Turner of Goldsboro and Darlene Price of Seven Springs; an uncle, Terry Strickland of Kenly; a special friend and her daughter, Jennifer Diehl and Melinda; a half brother, Jeffrey Strickland of Durham; and a stepbrother, Jimmy Van Auken of Durham.
The family will receive friends Wednesday (today) from 6 until 8 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Doris Turner at 150 Arrowhead Drive, Princeton.
