ONNIE HERRING
The funeral for Onnie Mae Herring, 89, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Pastor T.C. West will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.
Mrs. Herring died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late David and Maggie Bradshaw Raynor and the widow of Woodrow W. "Red" Herring. She was a housewife and farmer and was a member of Walker Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mamie Herring of Greenville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Herring and Rebecca Herring of Richmond, Va., Linda and Jimmy Kornegay of Mount Olive and Kay and Bob Raglin of Riverside, Ohio; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A great-grandson, Robbie Herring, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the residence at 185 Mince Hill Road, Seven Springs.
