MARY VANN
SELMA -- Mary Etta Williams Vann, 77, died Saturday following an extended illness.
She was born in Wilson County on November 23, 1926, to the late William Jordan and Lena Leona Phillips Williams. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Etta Yvonne Vann Price.
Funeral service will be held Monday 2:30 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, with burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Miss. Vann was an active member of Selma Original Free Will Baptist Church, where she worked with the youth groups for many years until her health failed. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Roland Vann; one daughter, Linda Dianna Vann Lassiter and her husband, Donnie of Selma; one son-in-law, Wallace Price of Raleigh; one brother, J.C. Williams and his wife, Panis of Mount Olive; and three grandchildren, Sara Lynn Lassiter and Trenton Vann Lassiter, both of Selma, and Kelly Morgan Price of Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. and other times at the home, located at 3340 US 301 North, Selma, N.C.
