KENNETH STROUD
HAMPTON, Va. -- Kenneth Stroud, 64, died September, 30, 2004.
He was born May 31, 1940, in Mount Olive, Wayne County, N.C., and was preceded in death by his father; Darlee Stroud, and a brother Roger Stroud, both of Seven Springs, N.C. A U.S. Army veteran, Kenneth resided in Hampton, Va., and owned and operated Stroud's Drywall Service since 1988.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 28 years, Hilda Grace Stroud; mother, Katie Stroud of Seven Springs, N.C.; two sons, Joe Stroud and his wife, Lisa, of Hampton, Wesley Stroud and his wife, Sheila, of Newport News; one daughter, Monica Stroud Futral and her husband, Gary, of Greenville, N.C.; three sisters; Audrey Price and her husband, Franklin, of Lumberton, N.C., Geneva Green and her husband, Donald, of Seven Springs, N.C., and Linda Lupton and her husband, John, of Mount Olive, N.C. one brother; Dwight Stroud of Hampton; five grandchildren, Amanda Knowles, Tamara Knowles, Taylor Stroud, Kenneth Stroud and Nicholas Futral; two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Alyssa Howard; and he was blessed with many nieces and nephews.
A life celebration service for Kenneth will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2004, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, October 3, 2004, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
