DONNA KENNEDY
Donna Davis Kennedy, 61, of 1007 Guilford St., died Monday at her residence.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Earl Glenn will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Wilson County and was the daughter of Roney L. Davis of Goldsboro and the late Bertha Bailey Davis. She retired as director of the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Bobby Gene Kennedy; a son, Christopher Bobby Kennedy, and his wife, Katie, of Raleigh; a granddaughter, Emma Caroline Kennedy; two brothers, Wiley J. Davis and wife Brenda of Elm City and Roney L. Davis II and wife Connie of New Bern; one sister, LuAnne Scott of Mount Olive; her mother-in-law, Lanie C. Kennedy of Goldsboro; one sister-in-law, Connie L. Kennedy of Goldsboro; and special friends, Christine Mitchell and Pattie Wester.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her father-in-law. Silas C. Kennedy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and will be at the residence at other times.
