PAUL EISSENS

CHADBOURN -- Paul A. Eissens, 73, father of the Rev. Bill Rose of Goldsboro, died Wednesday at Liberty Commons in Whiteville.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Eissens was born in Fulton, Ill., and was the son of the late John and Minnie Eissens. His parents, five brothers and one sister preceded him in death. One sister, Helen Wierema of Longmont, Colo. survives. Mr. Eissens was U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a dairy farmer for many years and later raised beef cattle. He had been an active member of Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church since 1962 and had served as a deacon for 35 years.

In addition to his son and his sister, Mr. Eissens is survived by his wife of 51 years, Annette Nobles Eissens; three other sons: Dwayne and David of Chadbourn and Jimmy Osborne of Raleigh; two daughters, Renee Gilpin of Morehead City and Rachel Hayes of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church Family Life Center, 518 N. Elm Street, Chadbourn, N.C. 28431.
