RICHARD ARTIS
FREMONT -- Richard Artis Jr., 74, of 100 Branch St., died Friday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hooks Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pikeville, with the Rev. J.C. Sherrod officiating. Burial will follow at Turner Swamp Church Cemetery in Eureka.
He is survived by three sons, Perry Artis, Jerry Broadhurst, both of Goldsboro, and Raymond Broadhurst of Durham; one daughter, Thelma Crawford of Goldsboro; one brother, George Artis of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren.
