MARGIE WHTIFIELD
Margie Westbrook Whitfield, 68, of the Grantham community, died Tuesday at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Massey officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
A native of Wayne County, Mrs. Whitfield was the daughter of the late Pascal Westbrook and Nettie Holland Westbrook and was the widow of Charles Gordon Whitfield Jr.
She is survived by three her sons and their wives, Joe and Jewel Whitfield of Mount Olive, Charles and Janice Whitfield of Rosewood and David and Renee Whitfield of Mount Olive; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pearline Westbrook Strickland.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of Joe and Jewel Whitfield, 496 Raynor Mill Road, Mount Olive.
