KINSTON -- The funeral for Robert Maye Jr., 68, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jones Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church. Bishop Earl Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Maye died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickie Lovick and Carla Atkins of Kinston; one son, Robert Carraway of LaGrange; one sister, Jeanette Cotton of Kinston; and three brothers, Cleo Maye of Washington, D.C., James Cobb of Hyattsville, Md., and Nathaniel Cobb of San Diego.
The family will receive friends today from 4 until 7 at Loftin Funeral Home, and other times at 2943 Rosa Bell Dunn Lane, Kinston.
