NELLIE HOWARD
The funeral for Nellie Louise Lynch Howard, 94, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Greenville, N.C., where she was a member. Burial will be on Saturday afternoon at 2:15 at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Howard died Wednesday in Royston, Ga.
She was the widow of the Rev. Odell T. Howard, former pastor of Belfast and Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness churches in Wayne County. She was born in Wilmington and was the daughter of the late John Samuel and Mary Elizabeth George Lynch.
Her survivors include two sons and their wives, M.J. "Buddy" and Linda Howard of Greenville, N.C., and Thomas R. and Connie Howard of Washington, N.C.; three daughters and their husbands, Betty Jo and Glenn Bailey and Rachel and James Sorrow of Franklin Springs, Ga., and Bonnie and Kyle Simmerman of Jonesborough, Tenn.; one brother, Billy Mack Lynch of Statesville; two sisters, Mary Adelia Casey and Francis Deans of Goldsboro; and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annie Lynelle Howard.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville, and other times at the home of Buddy and Linda Howard, 2521 Bells Fork Road, Greenville.
Flowers are optional. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
