ROBERT YELVERTON
Robert "Bob" Linwood Yelverton, 74, of 126 Trey Dr., died Friday at his residence.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Carrie West Yelverton.
Mr. Yelverton retired as a maintenance supervisor at Wayne Memorial Hospital, and was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was the former president of the men's fellowship.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Sasser Yelverton; one daughter, Myra Vanderhouver of Wisconsin; one son, Craig L. Yelverton; four stepdaughters, Shelia Collier of Goldsboro, Karen Tyndall of Snow Hill, Libby Peele and Kathy Edmundson of Goldsboro; one stepson, Ronnie Sasser of Goldsboro; two sisters, Margaret Batten and Sarah Sauls of Goldsboro; one brother, Lloyd Yelverton of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; one great-step-grandchild, and a special friend, Jean Collier of Goldsboro.
Mr. Yelverton was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Heath; one brother, Ray Yelverton, and a stepson, Ricky Turnage.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Berry House and the Rev. Gerald Hollamon officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today at 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will be at the residence at other times.
