LARRY GRAHAM
MOUNT OLIVE -- Larry H. Graham, 57, died Friday.
After graduating from Mount Olive High School in 1965, he entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. Following his military service, he attended Mount Olive College and later the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
After college, he went to work with Mount Olive Pickle Company, where he worked for 30 years, and was executive vice-president. He was a member of Mount Olive Christian Church and the Mount Olive Masonic Lodge #208, he served as its secretary and treasurer for 25 years and also as past master. He also was a member of the Waylin Foundation and served on the board of directors for Wachovia Bank.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 4 p.m. at the College Hall on Mount Olive College Campus, with Dr. Jerry Burton and the Rev. Bruce McDonald Powell officiating.
Mr. Graham is survived by his wife, Connie Powell Graham; one son, Brad Graham, and wife, Frankye, of Grantham; brothers-in-law, David W. Powell and wife, Donna, and Bruce Powell and wife, Carrie; nieces and nephews, Shanna Graham, Kelly Graham, Jessica Graham, Danny Graham, Matt Graham, Harley Graham, Ryan Powell, Kristen Powell, Austin Powell, Chris Powell, and Jason Powell; and his mother-in-law, Juanita W. Powell, of Wallace.
He was predeceased by his father, Jesse Graham, and a daughter, Susan Alyse Graham.
The family will receive friends at the home at 217 W. John St., Mount Olive.
