VERLYN DAVIS
Verlyn Davis of 4120 Stirrup Drive, Greensboro, formerly of Dudley, died Thursday.
A private memorial service will be held at Hargett Funeral Home and a cremation service will be held at a later date in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Davis attended school in Dudley and Carver Heights in Mount Olive before moving to Philadelphia.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda, and three sons, Tyrone, Kevin and Larry Jr.; two sisters, Carol Perkins and her husband, Willie, of Greensboro and Yvonne Parker and her husband, Guy, of Goldsboro; one brother, Shafton Manuel Jr. and his wife, Hortense, of Dudley; a brother-in-law, Willie Price of Goldsboro; and several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Hargett Funeral Home in Greensboro is serving the family.
