SNOW HILL -- Allen Harper, 61, of 506 Jordan Ave., died Monday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Leventon Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Stantonsburg. Elder George Wiggins will officiate. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife, Doris Artis Harper of Newark, N.J.; his mother, Sallie Harper of Snow Hill; four daughters, Dorothy Artis, Tammy Artis and Gladys Artis of Newark, N.J., and Cynthia Harper of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sons, David Lee Artis, Ricky Artis and Gary Richardson of Newark, N.J., and Anthony Foreman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sisters, Lillie Taylor and Edna Pender of Newark, N.J., Ollie Ray of Fremont and Linda Gray of Snow Hill; one brother, Charles Harper of Goldsboro; and 21 grandchildren.
The viewing will be Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there Saturday one hour prior to the funeral.
