BOBBY PARRISH
PIKEVILLE -- Bobby "Possum" Parrish left for his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 13, 2004.
Bobby was a veteran, a retired carpenter, and a retired manager for Kwik Pik Store of Pikeville. He was also a past member of the Fremont Rescue Auxiliary.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held tonight at 7 at Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Bobby is survived by the love of his life and special friend, Hilda Goff of Pikeville, and her four children, Wendy, Pam, Phil and Brenda.
Bobby is also survived by a daughter, Belinda Gail Parrish Barnes of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, Pamela Barnes, Tony, Ann, Sherry and Crystal Creech; one great-grandchild, Bobby Creech; four brothers, Jerry Parrish of Lucama, Scottie Parrish of Wilmington, Randy Parrish of Goldsboro and Roy Parrish of Wilson; six sisters, Peggy Parrish Barnes and Brenda Parrish Bunn of Lucama, Bonnie Parrish Hayes, Dianne Parrish Turner and Elaine Parrish Barnes, all of Wilson, and Mary Frances Parrish Wright of Conway, S.C.
Bobby was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Lee Parrish Ivey.
Arrangements are by Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen Memorial Park Funerals and Cremations, 2704 Nash Street North, Wilson.
