MORRIS EIDSON
Morris Eidson, 71, of 125 Woods Mill Road, died Saturday at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va.
Mr. Eidson was a retired fireman with the United States Air Force and served at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and the Retired Military Association. Mr. Eidson's greatest hobby was working in his yard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Wright and the Rev. David Jackson officiating. Interment will be at a later time in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mr. Eidson is survived by his wife, Jawan Bowen Eidson; his son, David G. Eidson and wife, Stacy Eidson, of Eden; his daughters, Denise E. Wright and husband, the Rev. Michael Wright, of Covington, Va, Karen J. Brown and husband, Major Timothy Brown, of Yorktown, Va, Lori E. Barbour and husband, Troy Barbour, of Covington, Va., and Rhonda Stark and husband, Chief MSGT Timothy Stark, of Goldsboro; his twin brother, Melvin Eidson of Hollywood, Fla., and brother, Steven Eidson of Atlanta, Ga.; his sisters, Virginia Puckett of Atlanta, Ga., Joyce Hamlett of Albany, Ga., Martha Jones of Sylvester, Ga., and Patricia Clifton of Villisca, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 300 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, 27534.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.
