ROSE HILL -- The funeral for George Ellsworth Furlow, 61, of 4270 Hwy. 117 South, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Holy Church in Rose Hill. The Rev. Anthony Flow will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Furlow died Friday, June 4, at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra M. Furlow of the home; one son, Anthony Brown of New York; three daughters, Pamela Furlow, Nancy Furlow and Dee Dee Furlow of New York; two brothers, Wilbert Cooper of Rose Hill and Dennis Furlow of Teachey; six sisters, Elna Weldon of Jacksonville, Mary Bennerman and Jane Brinson of Rose Hill, Grace Johnson and Janice Whitaker of Baltimore, Md., and Margaret Ann Smith of Wallace; and three grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Garris Funeral Home Chapel and at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 7 until 8 on Thursday night.
