VICKY BATTS
WARSAW -- Vicky Blevins Batts, 44, of 790 Penny Branch Road, died Saturday at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Born in Oxford, England, Mrs. Batts was the daughter of Elmer Blevins and the late Betty Harris Blevins. She was employed by the Girl Scouts of America.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ammens and Rev. Edgar Rouse officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Batts is survived by her husband, James Batts of Warsaw; her daughter, Dana Smith and husband, Ben, of Goldsboro; her son, James Edward Batts II of the home; her sisters, Barbara Hartley of Goldsboro and Susan Worrell of Goldsboro; her brother, John Blevins of Pikeville; her granddaughter, Ashley Smith; her mother-in-law, Patsy Tanner of Wallace; and her father-in-law, Vivian and Wanda Batts of Warsaw; sisters-in-law, Cindy Teachey and Tana Herring both of Wallace; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
