JAMES SHIFFLETT
FREMONT -- James William Shifflett, 72, died Monday.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford Funeral Home. Pastor Danny Patrick will officiate.
Mr. Shifflett was born in Corzet Va., on July 26, 1932, to the late Carl and Mary Walton Shifflett.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wallace Shifflett; daughters, Barbara Odom and husband, Robert, of Mount Airy and Judy Smith of Pikeville; a sister, Mary Morris of Crozet, Va.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Shifflett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.
