ETHEL R. BATTS
WARSAW -- Ethel Faye Raynor Batts, 86, passed away Thursday evening at Guardian Care of Kenansville.
Born October 31, 1917, to the late Mr. Ellis Raynor and Lula Henderson Raynor of Duplin County, Mrs. Batts was the widow of Mr. Edward Ray Batts.
She is survived by one son, Vivian Ray Batts and wife Wanda of Warsaw; one brother, O'Berry Raynor of Pin Hook; three grandsons; four granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Harold Batts and James Edward Batts; three brothers, Taffie Raynor, Beasley Raynor and Ted Raynor; and two sisters, Estelle Halso and Frankie Sandlin.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Community Chapel, Community Funeral Home, 1654 N.C. 24/50 E., Warsaw. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens, N.C. 24/50 East, Warsaw.
Visitation was held Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the Vivian Ray Batts home of Warsaw.
