NORWOOD BROGDEN
Norwood Dortch Brogden, 77, of 1083 U.S. 13 South, died Wednesday evening at Sunbridge Care.
A native of Wayne County, Mr. Brogden was the son of the late Garfield Brogden and Edna Williams Brogden and had worked as a parking attendant with Wayne Memorial Hospital for a number of years.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Fred Clarke officiating.
Mr. Brogden is survived by three daughters, Pat Brogden of Raleigh; Jill B. Bucy and husband, Tom, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Jackye B. Johnson and husband, J.C., of Goldsboro; two stepsons, Calvin Sasser Jr. and Larry Sasser and wife, Lori, all of Goldsboro; and a step-grandson, C.J. Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his former wives, Christine Brogden and Hilda Sasser Brogden; and his son, Mike Brogden.
The family will greet friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the memorial service on Saturday.
