SARAH COLEY
Sarah Lavenia Coley, 94, of 820 East End Circle, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Headquarters Building, 1800 S. Slocumb St. The Rev. Arthur Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Coley attended Wayne County Schools and retired from J.P. Taylor Tobacco Co. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by eight sons, James Williams Coley (TC Tunk), Charles Augustus Coley, Elroy Coley, Foy Lee Coley and Coy Lee Coley of Goldsboro, John Lee Coley of Salem, N.J., Alvin Maurice Coley of Fayetteville and Bobby Enois Coley of Cincinnati, Ohio; three daughters, Annie Ruth Cooper and Celestine Coley Walker of Goldsboro and Sarah Catherine Fortune of Camden, N.J.; 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 today at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro, and the family will be present from 6 until 7 p.m.
