SELMA -- The funeral for David B. Ennis, 76, will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home of Selma. Burial will be in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
Mr. Ennis died Friday
He was retired from the maintenance department at the Johnston County Board of Education and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Lee Lawhorn Ennis; sons, Wayne Ennis of Wilson's Mills and William Frank Ennis of Fuquay; a daughter, Trevis Maleski of Clarksville, Tenn.; stepsons, James S. Capps and Johnny Capps of Micro, and Thomas Jerry Capps of Raleigh; brothers, Joe Ennis and Carl Ennis Jr. of Smithfield; Johnny Ennis of Wilson's Mills, and Marvin Ennis of Weatherford, Texas; sisters, Rachel Lassiter and Annie Ennis of Smithfield and Martha Ennis and Emma Lou Gilbert of Selma; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
