RUSSELL EDWARDS
CLINTON -- Russell Ray Edwards, 61, of Skill Creations of Clinton, died Sunday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roanoke Chapel Church in Newton Grove. The Reverends Nelson Hearl and Jerome Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Blackman's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was a native of Sampson County and was the son of the late Jonah Braston and Lula Rebecca Cobb Edwards.
He is survived by four sisters, Shelby Jean Johnson of Fayetteville, Cherry Earline Vann of Clinton, Nannie Grey Westbrook of Newton Grove and Bonnie Elizabeth Giddens of Grantham; and three brothers, Jessie Larry Edwards of Newton grove, Matthew Braston "M.B." Edwards of Clinton and James Layton Edwards of Dunn.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at his sister's home at 964 Odom Road, Clinton .
