FAYETTEVILLE ~~ James Luther Stedman, 51, of Graye Fryers Lane, died Sunday in a car accident.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends D.C. Jackson and Agnes Pierce will officiate. Burial will be in the Culbreth family cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Fields Stedman of the home; daughters, Janel Hair and husband Bradley, Belinda Kucinsky and a special friend and Jamie Lynn Woody and husband Jamie, all of Fayetteville; stepdaughter, Michelle Evans of Goldsboro; a special adopted son, Patrick Lester of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Keith, Mary Beth and Dakota; and two stepchildren, Cody and Brandon; two step-grandchildren, Cody and Brandon; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Clyde Ratley of Hope Mills; one sister, Margaret Bass of Fayetteville; and one brother, Leonard Stedman of Fayetteville.
The family received friends on Tuesday night from 7 until 9 at Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home in Hope Mills.
