RACHEL W. TUCKER
FAISON -- Rachel Weeks Tucker, 81, of 507 Thornton St., died Tuesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Faison. The Rev. Paul Rose will officiate. Burial will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faison Cemetery.
Born in 1922 in Sampson County, Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Alonza and Nellie Bell Weeks and was the widow of Elmore Tucker. She was a retired employee with Reeves Brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Bass of Faison; one sister, Helen W. Rose of Clinton; and one brother, Albert Weeks of Faison; two grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service on Friday night.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faison Fire Department or Faison Rescue Squad.
