THEODORE HERRING
MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Theodore R. Herring, 69, of 408 S. Chestnut St., will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Jackson Tabernacle Church. Evangelist Deborah Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Herring died Saturday at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
He was the son of the late John W. Herring and Queen Esther Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Herring of the home; three sons, the Rev. Roosevelt Herring and Carl Herring of Dudley and Sherwood Frederick of Germany; three daughters, Queenetta Herring of Wilson, Joyce Royal of Mount Olive and Bertha Johnson of Goldsboro; his stepmother, Ruth Herring of Mount Olive; one brother, Vernon Robinson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 166 Country Road, Mount Olive.
Viewing hours will be from 3 until 7 today at Garris Funeral Home.
