MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Walter Ingram Sr., 75, of 407 Franklin St., will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Free Will Baptist Church. Moderator James Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Ingram was the son of the late Walter and Lillie Ingram. He retired from Cates Pickle Plant and was a member of Faison Baptist Church and Tyre Silver Link Lodge 125.
He is survied by his wife, Edith Ingram of the home; five sons, Walter Ingram Jr. of Winston-Salem, John Ingram of Goldsboro, Terry Ingram of Dudley and William Ingram and Ricardo Ingram of Mount Olive; two daughters, Annette Gerald of Dudley and Levette Ingram of the home; a foster daughter, Tamekia Stevens of Greensboro; two sisters, Julia Dickerson of Goldsboro and Ruth Faison of Faison; and nine grandchildren.
The viewing will be today from 4 until 8 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
