JAMES R. ROWE
KENLY -- James R. "Ray" Rowe, 75, of 5078 Hickory Crossroads Road, died Friday at Wilson Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. in Fellowship United Methodist Church. The Rev. Hobie Burnside and the Rev. Joyce Odom will officiate. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the church cemetery.
Rowe was a U.S. Army veteran serving most of his time in Germany. He was retired from N.C. Department of Corrections license plate division.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mitchell Rowe; daughter, Brenda R. Puryear of Kenly; son, Greg Rowe of Rolesville; four sisters, Hilda R. Raper of Wendell, Gertrude R. Sawchak of Florida, Ann R. Abel of Goldsboro and Faye R. Patterson of Smithfield; two brothers, Linwood Rowe and Dwight Rowe, both of Princeton; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the evening service at the church.
