EFFIE O. SUTTON
VIRGINIA -- Effie Outlaw Sutton, 89, former resident of Warsaw, N.C., died Friday at Sentara Windmere Nursing Home in Virginia Beach, Va.
Born Sept. 1, 1914, to the late Charlie B. and Ella Heath Outlaw of Duplin County, Mrs. Sutton was the widow of Mr. Joe Sutton. She was well known in the Warsaw area as a store owner and operator.
Surviving Mrs. Sutton are two sons, Dan Sutton and wife Carol, Mr. Allen Sutton and wife Janice all of Virginia; one sister, Charlene McPherson of Hampton, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw. The Rev. Kelly Lyon Logue will officiate. Burial will be at Devotional Gardens, Highway 24/50 East, Warsaw.
Visitation was held Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, Warsaw.
