JOHN T. ELZAS
MOUNT OLIVE -- A graveside service for John Thomas "Tommy" Elzas will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive. Dr. Dennis Draper will officiate.
Mr. Elzas, 59, died Saturday, March 6, in Palm Bay, Fla., where he resided.
Born in Chicago, Ill., on May 29, 1945, he was a former resident of Mount Olive.
He is survived by two children, Phillip Elzas of Florida, and Robin Elzas Egan and her husband, Michael, also of Florida; two grandchildren, Joshua Elzas and Zackary Egan of Florida; his mother, Pattie Britt Elzas of Mount Olive; a brother, Michael Elzas of Mount Olive; an aunt, Lucy Britt Daughtry of Mount Olive; and two cousins, George Daughtry and Michael Daughtry, both of Mount Olive.
His father was the late Gene J. Elzas.
Tyndall Funeral Home is handling the service.
