FAISON -- The funeral for John A. Cox, 82, of 2615 Giddensville Road, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Goshen Disciples Church of Christ. Dr. David Atkinson will officiate. Burial will be in Cobb Cemetery.
Mr. Cox was the son of the late Ashley and Lula Best Cox.
He is survived by three brothers, Anthony Cox of Goldsboro, Corinthia Cox of Long Island, N.Y., and James Cox of Manhattan, N.Y.; four sisters, Ella Mae Avery, Lillie Sampson and Katie Baggett of Faison and Alice Elbon of Baltimore, Md.
The viewing will be held from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 5 p.m. at the church, and other times at the residence.
