MAGNOLIA -- Charlie Maryland Carr, 80, of 146 Willis Carr Road, died Wednesday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Tony Harrington will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Funeral Home Cemetery.
Mr. Carr retired from Duplin General Hospital with over 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Mae Carr of Magnolia; four daughters, Adlue Montgomery, Rose Merritt and Rebecca Montoya of Magnolia, Constance Hall of Beulaville; one son, Joseph Phillips of Magnolia; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.
