JAMES POTTER
James Earl Potter, 77, died today at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will be in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Potter was born in Duplin County to the late Robert Thomas and Addie Summerlin Potter and was married the to the late Lorene Boyd Potter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an insurance salesman with Home Security Life Insurance.
He is survived by one brother, Rudolph Potter of Goldsboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receive friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
