SUSIE H. COTTON
MOUNT OLIVE -- Susie Hartley Cotton, 84, died Friday at Sunbridge Nursing Home.
She was born in Johnston County to the late Herbert M. and Lula W. Hartley. Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cotton; brothers, David Hartley, Raymond Hartley and Woodrow Hartley; and sisters, Lura Worley and Christie Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Steve Singleton and the Rev. Jesse Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.
Mrs. Cotton is survived by her daughter, Chelli Loftin and husband Charles of Mount Olive; son, Bill Cotton and wife Joyce of Pikeville; grandchildren, Jackie Houser, Joe Cotton and wife Sharlene, Chris Cotton and wife Jillneal, Billie Jo Loftin and Patricia Miller and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Melissa Howell, Wesley Howell, Morgan Cotton, Anna Cotton, Alexis Miller, Dylan Miller and Briana Loftin; brothers, George "Bill" Hartley of Princeton and Gilmore Hartley of Grantham; sisters, Mildred Barstow of Florida and Christie Talton of Princeton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 until 9 and other times at the home of Bill and Joyce Cotton, 1372 Capps Bridge Road, Pikeville, N.C. 27863.
