ESTELLE CAMP
Estelle Ham Camp, 84, formerly of Kirkwood and the Pines of Goldsboro died Sunday morning at Britthaven of Kinston.
Homegoing services will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor Willard Hardison and the Rev. Pauline West will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Patetown Cemetery.
Mrs. Camp was born in Wilson County to the late Albert B. and Sally Turnage Ham on September 11, 1919. She retired as a seamstress at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. She was a member at the Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church for over 20 years, and was very active in the church while her health permitted. She sang several gospel music groups including the Patetown Church of God Quartet, the Happy Three, the Emmanuel Trio, and the Goldsboro Trio, which broadcasted on WGBR radio station for over 17 years.
Mrs. Camp is survived by her daughter, Christine Clark and husband, Vernon, of Winterville; one sister, Mildred Livinis of Tenafly, N.J.; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and very special nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas M. Smith, George Willie Carter, Joseph A. Bass and Ebron M. Camp; one brother, Luther H. Ham; and four sisters, Eula G. Romanus, Julia Rowe, Edna Fowlers and Alice Faye Thoila.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight at Howell Funeral Home.
