LOLA G. SINGLETON
LAGRANGE -- Lola Mae Gurley Singleton, 79, of 313 East Railroad Street, died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Tommie and Lannie Oliver Gurley. She was wife of the late Kirby Steve Singleton and was a member of LaGrange First Free Will Baptist Church. She assisted with Meals On Wheels in the LaGrange area.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Williamson and the Rev. Chris Singleton officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Singleton is survived by three children, Shirley Sorrell and husband, Vernon, of LaGrange, Kenneth Singleton and special family friend, Susan Lee, of Moss Hill, Ann Kennedy and husband, Ronald, of Pink Hill; sister, Pauline Peacock of Goldsboro; two brothers, Raeford Gurley and Milton Gurley, both of Pikeville; six grandchildren, Vicki Lemmond, Greg Sorrell, Stephanie Walker, Heather Singleton, Ashley Holland and Chad Holland; three great-grandchildren, Monica Sparks, Thornton Walker and Kara Holland; three step-grandchildren, Travis Kennedy, Jeremy Kennedy and Tracy Pittman. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnnie Gurley, Leon Gurley and Jesse Wayne Gurley.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight, and at other times at the home.

Arrangements are by Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
