HARVEY JORDAN
MOUNT OLIVE -- Harvey Leland Jordan, 65, of 5013 U.S. 13 South, died Monday at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of Minnie Florence Woodard Jordan and the late Harvey Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service and was a member of the North Carolina Rural Letter Carrier Association. He was also a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at White Oak Presbyterian Church in Lucama, with the Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Jordan Family Cemetery.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Denning Jordan; one son, Harvey Leland Jordan II, and wife, Sonia Lynette Musgrave Jordan, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Janet Marie Jordan Grice and husband, Kenneth Wayne Grice, of Goldsboro; one brother, Edward Hooks Jordan of Goldsboro; a sister, Doris Rebecca Jordan Saunders of Trinity; and three grandchildren, Kristina Dianne Jordan, Amy Elizabeth Jordan and Kenny Wayne Grice.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
