LUCILLE K. GOODMAN
PIKEVILLE -- Lucille Killette Goodman, 90, a resident of Countryside Living, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest A. Killette and Mattie Jackson Killette and was the widow of Brodie O. Goodman. Mrs. Goodman had worked as an Avon representative for a number of years. She was a member of the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Goodman had served on the board for the Service on Aging.
Funeral services will be today at 6 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 336 Nahunta Road, Pikeville. The Rev. Dr. Don Sauls will officiate. Interment will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Goodman is survived by one sister, Esther "Pie" Vinson of Pikeville; her nieces, Anne Turner and husband, Marvin, of Goldsboro, Jettye Suggs and husband, Gene, of Goldsboro, Brenda Dail of Pikeville, and Georgia Crumpler of Goldsboro; and her nephews, Curtis Howell of Greenville, Bill Hicks and wife, Madge, of Raleigh, Woody Scott and wife, Ellen, of Raleigh, Ruffin Hicks and wife, Dee, of Raleigh, and Jerry Goodman and wife, Judy, of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bliss Scott and Irene Howell.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 910, Pikeville, 27863.
The family will greet friends following the service at the church on Sunday and other times at the home of Anne and Marvin Turner, 210 Lake Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.
