JOE W. HUNTER JR.
CLAYTON --Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Joe Wayne "Roscoe" Hunter Jr. died Saturday at his residence at 1001 Sumac Court. He was 41.
He was formerly stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial will be in the U.S.. National Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Chaz J. Hunter of Clayton; his parents, Joe W. Hunter Sr. and Beatrice Sifford Hunter of Salisbury; a stepson, Johnathan T. Johnson of Clayton; a stepdaughter, Coirtney M. Molencamp of Toledo, Ohio; and three sisters, Brinda Houston of Salisbury, Myra Hunter of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Billie Jo Hunter of Bronx, N.Y.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the service on Thursday, and other times at the home of his parents at 806 Hidden Creek Circle in Salisbury.
