Coor-Lewallen
Devin Lynn Coor and Dalton Cory Lewallen exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 3, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Level, with the Rev. Terry Hobbs officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Michael and Kathy Worrell Coor of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Nelle Jinnette Coor and the late William Harold Coor of Pine Level and the late Paul and Kathleen Langston Worrell of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2009 and from East Carolina University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
She is employed as an admissions specialist at Wayne Community College.
The groom is the son of Kenneth Oliver Lewallen Jr. and Tammy Sue Lewallen of Fremont and the grandson of Kenneth Oliver Lewallen, Sr of Anderson, S.C., the late Joan Lewallen of Gaithersburg, Md., Nicholas Arthur Western of Lexington Park, Md., and the late Judy Wheeler Western of Leonardtown, Md.
He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2009 and from East Carolina University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
He is employed as a fractionation technician II at Grifols Therapuetics.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride wore a strapless tulle ballgown with beaded waist and a two-tiered beaded veil, and carried a bouquet of Gerber daisies.
Kayla Threewitts and Kayla Cushing, friends of the bride, served as matron of honor, while bridesmaids were Stephanie Grimes, friend of the bride, and Jessica Coor, sister-in-law of the bride.
Groomsmen were Kenny Lewallen and James Lewallen, brothers of the groom; Brett Bartlett, friend of the groom; and Michael Coor, brother of the bride.
Annette Dail directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Bethany Dale.
Brittany Dale distributed programs.
Wendy Potter served the wedding cake.
Jeff Pearsall provided music for the ceremony.
A reception was held at Pine Level American Legion by the bride’s parents.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple resides in Princeton, N.C.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Parkside Cafe in Pine Level, N.C.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower July 12 hosted by Westwood United Methodist Women and the couple’s family; a monogram shower Sept. 12 hosted by friends of the bride; a bridal shower Sept. 15 hosted by co-workers of the bride; and a bridesmaids’ brunch Sept. 26 at Lane Tree hosted by Annette Dail, Wendy Potter and Sharon Lane.
