Stacie Raye Elizabeth Irby and Eric Glenn Sauls, both of Raleigh, exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. at Raleigh Country Club, with the Rev. Dr. David Brown officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Walter Scott Irby III and Cecilia Roberson Irby of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Thelma Gurganus Roberson and the late Cecil Ray Roberson, both of Robersonville and the late Walter Scott Irby Jr. and the late Elizabeth Phelps Irby, both of Washington.

She graduated from Fike High School in 2004 and East Carolina University in 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in health services management.

She is a risk operations business analyst at BB&T in Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Marvin Glenn and Lynn Hinson Sauls of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Gordon Henry and Barbara Jean Farrell of Goldsboro and the late Edward Ray Hinson Sr., the late Jean Taylor Hinson and the late Marvin Sauls, all of Goldsboro.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2000, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and Campbell University School of Law in 2008 with a Juris Doctor degree.

He is an attorney with Patterson Dilthey LLP in Raleigh.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride wore a formal gown of handcrafted lace fashioned with a scoop neckline and off-the-shoulder cap sleeves that connected in back to create a deep V neckline.

The fitted bodice created a trumpet silhouette that gently flared at the bottom to a chapel-length train.

The bride accentuated the gown with a hand-embroidered Swarovski crystal detailed sash that tied at the back.

Her headpiece was a cathedral-length lace-edged veil.

Robin Irby of Wilson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Lindsey Haydt of Raleigh, sister of the groom, was matron of honor.

Junior bridesmaid was Hannah Miller, and Hadley Bishop was the flower girl. Both are cousins of the groom.

Marvin Glenn Sauls, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Matt Bishop of Raleigh, cousin of the groom, and Leo Haydt of Raleigh, brother-in-law of the groom.

Ushers were Adam Hinson of Charlotte, Noah Hinson of Goldsboro and Jeffrey Hill of Raleigh, cousins of the groom.

Presiding at the register was Alexandra Roberson, and Brooke Hawkins was program attendant. Both are cousins of the bride.

Wedding music was presented by Marta Partridge, violinist.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wayne Williams of Goldsboro directed the wedding.

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception was held at the Raleigh Country Club. Hosts were the bride’s parents.

After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party in Raleigh hosted by Lindsey Haydt, Holly Bishop and Amy Miller; a bridal shower in Goldsboro hosted by Phyllis Hill and Caroline Hinson; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Brio Tuscan Grille in Raleigh hosted by Thelma Roberson.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at 18 Seaboard in Raleigh.
