Emily Megan Thompson of Goldsboro and Jeffrey Deems Crumpler of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 10, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church in LaGrange, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Gary Bolduc of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Thompson of Kinston and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson of Kinston, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bolduc of Ruidoso, N.M., the late Glenwood Russell Scott of Kinston and the late Dorothy Rose Daughety of Dover.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Crumpler of LaGrange, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood Smith of LaGrange, Ms. Florence Browder of Kinston and the late Gene Browder of Kinston and the great-grandson of Ms. Mildred Smith of Seven Springs.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a tulle A- line gown with delicate beading and lace with a chapel-length train. She wore a cathedral-length veil with a pearl embellished alencon lace edge. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of Juliet peonies, Amsterdam roses, coral gerberas daisies, pin cushions and hot pink spray roses. It was accented with baby’s breath and English ivy.
Lauren Heath of Cove City was matron of honor. Mary Raven Bennett of Seven Springs was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Goodno of Forest Hills, N.Y., Anna Lee of LaGrange, Malori Price of Goldsboro, Morgan Smith of Goldsboro and Chelsie Spurgeon of Mount Olive.
Jeff Crumpler of LaGrange was best man. Groomsmen were Gary Bolduc of Goldsboro, Daniel Lee of LaGrange, Hunter Newsome of Goldsboro, Michael Rhodes of Apex, Carlyle Smith of Goldsboro and Adam Weaver of LaGrange.
Taylor Heath of Cove City was the flower girl, and Garrett Brown of LaGrange was the ringbearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox of Goldsboro, pianist and vocalist.
Karolee Myers directed the wedding.
Presiding at the register was Renee Wright. Hannah Howell and Allyson Smith distributed programs.
Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bolduc hosted a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Smith of Goldsboro greeted the guests.
After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple will reside in LaGrange, N.C.
A bridesmaids’ luncheon was held in Kinston, N.C., at Our Picnic Basket and was hosted by her grandmother, stepmother and the matron of honor.
Goldsboro events included a Christmas bridal shower hosted by family at the home of Marie Smith, a bridal shower brunch hosted by family at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church and a bridal shower given by the bridesmaids at the home of Alicia Bolduc.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 9 at Walnut Creek Country Club.
